Old Street
EC1
The clients wanted to create a kitchen which highlighted the unique features in the space such as the exposed brick wall. To achieve this we went with darker, more rustic colours to create a bespoke handleless kitchen. We decided to use a Dekton Kelya worktop and backsplash and incorporate a breakfast bar, maximising the space and allowing for a friend to sit and have a drink while they cook dinner or just to have a more casual supper on days where they want a change from the table. Applicances include a built in wine cooler and flush hob, really keeping that sleek feel and letting the open plan kitchen be a social space. This was also the first time we got to fit the Bora Puru X hob in a kitchen – space for six pans instead of the usual four, making cooking big family meals no problem at all.
