Project Notes – Winchmore Hill – N1
This project was for a charming couple who purchased and lived in this house for 40 years. You could see that Mary and Andrew really love the house. For Andrew, there were certain characteristics in the house he wanted to keep, and the new extension meant he might be losing them.
After our few meetings, I thought of a solution to keep the beautiful curved Edwardian wall and design the kitchen around it, and it worked! Behind the wall, you now step down into the utility area and the new shower room. Andrew was so pleased, and for Mary, we kept the beautiful door handles from her previous kitchen, which added such charm and personality to this lovely house. They now enjoy the new kitchen, Mary bakes delicious cakes and enjoys entertaining the family.
The colours were in eucalyptus, Satin and Dekton Taga.
In the shower room, we used botanical tiles in light green to complement the area.
