Project Notes – Show Flat – Whitelands Crescent SW18

This property was originally designed by Sir Gilbert Scott of the iconic red telephone box. We worked on this show flat for a developer who had a very specific aim: let’s find a way to mix the very contemporary with the staple features of this 1930s development. We took the Art Deco inspiration and allowed the colours to flow from one room to the next, using a variety of subtle textures and rich hues to really make the space feel alive. We gave extra care to the bathrooms to make them feel warm and luxurious, embracing mood lighting and making them spaces you want to spend time in. The kitchen is from Doca, with stainless steel and a matte glass front. The Silestone worktop is in Blanco Zeus. The living room features sofas from Baxter, with Porada furniture, Floss lighting and an explosion of colour of texture with designer wallpaper.
